Listening to Learn In-Person
Explore strategies for active listening to enhance communication and learning effectively during lectures and group discussions. This workshop is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who speak English as a second or an additional language or students who are having difficulty listening effectively when participating English-speaking classes at the university. In this workshop we will:
- Identify barriers to effective listening.
- Explore strategies to listen and capture essential lecture information.
- Practice active listening to improve understanding and recall information.
