Listening to Learn In-Person
Improve Your Listening Skills in lectures and discussions. Learn strategies for active listening to enhance communication and learning effectively during lectures and group discussions. This workshop is designed for undergraduate and graduate students who speak English as a second or an additional language or students who are having difficulty listening effectively when participating English-speaking classes at the university. In this workshop we will:
1. Identify barriers to effective listening.
2. Explore strategies to listen and capture essential lecture information.
3. Practice active listening to improve understanding and recall information.
