Finding Your Own Writer's Rhythm: National Novel Writing Month Write-In featuring Delane Just

Finding Your Own Writer's Rhythm: National Novel Writing Month Write-In featuring Delane Just Online

Join other creative writers at USask’s Murray Library to work on your novel! To celebrate National Novel Writing Month, every Monday in November we’ll be hosting a write-in from 6-8 pm in the Collaborative Learning Lab. All you need to bring is your writing tools (laptop, notebook, pens) and your creative ideas!

Each week will have a brief introduction followed by free writing time, facilitated with prompts to help battle writer’s block. Free snacks and coffee will be provided.

This week features Delane Just (they/she) is a Saskatchewan-based queer neurodivergent writer and recent graduate of the MFA in Writing program at the University of Saskatchewan. Their thesis work is a collection of short stories focusing on the experiences and writings of queer Canadian millennials. Their workshop will focus on looking at different writing processes and why everyone will find a unique way to work on their own writing (things like plotting vs "pants-ing").
