We Are The Roots - Documentary film screening for Black History Month In-Person

In celebration of Black History Month, join the USask Library for a documentary film screening and discussion. 

We Are the Roots: Black Settlers and their Experiences of Discrimination on the Canadian Prairies tells the story of a wave of African American immigrants who moved to Alberta and Saskatchewan between 1905-1912 to escape racism and persecution in the United States." 
 
Q & A (via Zoom) to follow with one of the film’s creators, Deborah  Dobbins, President of the Shilo Centre for Multicultural Roots in Edmonton, Alberta.
