- clarify foundational concepts including terminology and consolidate your knowledge
- strengthen or deepen your understanding of calculus, statistics, algebra, trigonometry, linear algebra, etc.
- use tools effectively (calculators, graphing software, some statistical software, etc.)
- understand quantitative arguments and assumptions
