Make an appointment with a learning specialist to discuss strategies for improving your Academic English and language skills.

We can discuss:

  • Academic English Grammar (punctuation, vocabulary, verbs and verb tenses,English articles, etc.)
  • Academic reading and comprehension
  • Communication skills for individuals and groups
  • Speaking and pronunciation
  • Presentation skills and techniques
  • Listening actively and efficiently
  • Academic learning and transitioning in the University, etc. 

By booking an appointment, you confirm you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms:

  • Your information will neither be shared with your professors nor college.
  • You are responsible for your own work.
  • You may be referred to other support services (e.g., academic advising), and, when warranted, we will help you contact relevant health and wellness professionals.
  • Our aim is to help you develop your academic English and language skills.

Details

  • Book your appointment up to two weeks in advance.
  • Appointments are 25 or 55 minutes.
  • In-person appointments are in Murray Library, Room 122.6.
  • Online appointments are on Zoom.

Claim your USask Zoom account prior to your appointment. It can take up to 6 hours to activate your USask Zoom account for the first time.

No appointment availability? Email ealsupport@library.usask.ca, and we will do our best to assist in finding an available time.
